EAC: Blacklisted device - Bloody Mouse - how to play with banned mice?

Why does EAC block Bloody and A4Tech mice?

Since December 11, 2019, the Rust anti-cheat (EasyAntiCheat) has started blocking mice of the Bloody and A4Tech brands. The reason is that these devices are often used for macros that compensate for recoil, giving an unfair advantage in combat.

If you have such a mouse connected, the game will not start , and instead the following message will appear:

"EAC: Blacklisted device - Bloody Mouse"

How to fix the error?

1. Disable the prohibited mouse

  1. Close Rust completely.

  2. Disconnect the Bloody/A4Tech mouse from the computer.

  3. Connect another mouse (Razer, Logitech, SteelSeries, etc.).

  4. Run Rust and the error should disappear.

2. What mice are prohibited?

EAC only blocks devices from these brands:

  • Bloody

  • A4Tech

Approved brands (work without problems):

  • Razer

  • Logitech

  • Corsair

  • SteelSeries

  • Zowie

  • HyperX

  • ASUS

  • and others.

Is it possible to play Bloody/A4Tech with a mouse?

On official servers - no. EAC strictly blocks these devices, and there is no way to bypass this without replacing the mouse .

But there is good news!

On our servers we allow any mouse , including Bloody and A4Tech. We don't have any hard restrictions, so you can:
✔ Play with any mouse without blocking.
✔ Don't worry about false positives from anti-cheat .
✔ Enjoy stable gameplay without crashes .
