Rust's Caves Will Get a Complete Overhaul

In a future update to Rust, caves will undergo a complete overhaul. Instead of pre-set cave variants with a known route, they will become completely procedural. Just like with underground tunnels and underwater labs.

This means that each map will have unique caves with different routes and places to build. Details about the date of the cave update are not yet known, but it is likely that work on it will begin after the release of the current update. The game developers continue their efforts to randomize the content on the map.
