Breaking: Rust August Update Bug - Tier 3 Workbench Not Working | Gaming News
What happened?
Since the release of the update on August 8, 2025, Rust players have been reporting a critical bug: the Tier 3 Workbench disappears , and a Tier 2 Workbench is displayed in the interface instead.
Because of this, it is impossible to craft on all servers, including official ones:
- Rockets and explosives
- High-level weapons (LR-300, M249, etc.)
- Other Tier 3 items
Developers' reaction
The Facepunch Studios team has already confirmed the issue on their official Twitter and is working on a fix. The patch is expected to be released in the next 24-48 hours.
"We are aware of the bug with the Tier 3 workbench. A hotfix is in the works, stay tuned. Sorry for the inconvenience!" - the lead developer said.
Temporary solution
Until the issue is resolved, players recommend:
- Do not destroy existing Tier 3 workbenches
- Postpone raids that require missiles
- Use alternative weapons (eg from Tier 2)
The update will be updated as information becomes available. Keep an eye on the official Rust channels.
