News related to the update of the game Rust: Sharks and fishing

The sharks are currently unfinished and have a few bugs (you might even see sharks hovering over land to chase their prey if you check out the test branch before it gets fixed), but the harpoon is fully functional and works well against sharks. But they're not the only fish that's been added to the game, as Rust now has full-fledged fishing.

Fishing works quite simply - you put the catch on the hook, throw it into the water, wait for someone to bite, and pull it out, but watch - if you overdo it, the fish will break away. The indicator in the middle will show the current pressure on the line and maintaining balance you will definitely catch someone. Salmon, sardine, small trout, anchovy, herring, small shark and bass were added from the fish. Some of them live only in rivers, so the fishing spot is also important.

Caught some fish? You can sell it in fishing villages and get scrap metal - I won't add the exchange cost here yet, as it will 100% change closer to the release.

The harpoon and fishing rod do not have a crafting cost yet, but this will be fixed soon.

The underwater update will be released on August 5 at 21:00 Moscow time.
