Facepunch Shuts Down Hardcore Mode Servers

Facepunch is officially shutting down its Hardcore servers. The developers have admitted that they were unable to achieve the desired quality of this game mode. During its experimental period, the Facepunch team received a lot of feedback from players, which they are now committed to taking into account if they decide to return to Hardcore mode in the future.


This official server shutdown is a clear signal that the developers have finally abandoned further development of this mode. Hardcore mode was introduced more than a year ago and has received only two significant updates.
