Rust Component Recycling Calculator
Specify the number of components and the type of recycler. The calculator will show scrap, metal, HQM, and cloth. A decimal number in the result is the average output, not a part of the item.

Why is the exit different
The yellow recycler in the safe zone operates at 40%. The green one without power bonus works at 50%, with sufficient power from the power plant it operates at 60%. The special red one at the power plant gives 75% at maximum power. These rules appeared in Power Trip; on modified servers, settings may vary.
How to read the result
The average output is the mathematical expectation, not a promise of a specific quantity. The fractional part corresponds to the chance of additional resources. The guaranteed minimum is calculated for each whole component separately; actual processing of stacks and server settings may change the rounding.
What to keep before recycling
- Leave the details for upcoming crafts: gears, springs, and tech trash may be needed before scrap.
- Consider the risk of losing your inventory along the way: an extra trip outside the safe zone doesn't always justify the risk.
- The calculator processes eight listed components in one pass. The resulting rope can be separately added for processing into cloth.
