Which Rust server should a beginner choose

For a peaceful introduction, check out PvE; for PvP practice, choose a server with clear rules, a suitable team limit, and comfortable online. x2 and x10 refer to resource gathering speed, not the number of players on a team.

The selection takes into account the game mode and rates from the titles and tags of the catalog. Check the command limit and PvE restrictions in the rules of the selected server.

Compare four items before entering

  • PvE or PvP: Are attacks and raids allowed, are there separate zones and schedules.
  • Team limit: how many people can play together. Make sure to check the server rules specifically.
  • Rates and modifications: x2 speeds up progression, high rates have a stronger impact on the economy and base decay speed.
  • Wipes and online: choose the start time and number of opponents according to your schedule.

The first 60 minutes

  1. Read the rules of the selected server and save the address.
  2. Place your sleeping bag away from busy roads and large monuments.
  3. Gather resources for a small house, cupboard, and door. Lock the door and authorize yourself on the cupboard.
  4. Allocate resources for maintaining the base; make a backup kit and a second sleeping bag.
  5. Study one looting route at a time and return the loot to the base after a successful run.

What does a wipe change?

Wiping the map removes the world and buildings. Resetting learned blueprints is a separate setting. Before starting, make sure what exactly gets reset on the selected server, and when the next wipe will be.
