? Latest news from the world of Rust: new respawns, helicopters and sea adventures

| Rust News

? Respawn in the city? Now with an official cooldown!

Rust has begun actively developing a mechanic for respawning in NPC cities , such as Outpost. But it's not that simple - to resurrect among friendly NPCs, you first need to unlock this feature , and then wait 30 minutes until the next respawn.

Adds strategy and a bit of spice to the fight - now every frag can be worth the time!

? Fishing Village: New Chance After Death

The already familiar Peaceful City is joined by a fishing village as a new safe zone for respawn. However, first you need to complete a quest from a new NPC character (each biome has its own), and only then will the coveted respawn point open up to you.

Like other safe zones, there is a 30 minute timer, so there is time to admire the waves between deaths.

? Patrol helicopter has moved to the controls of updates

A complete rework of the patrol helicopter has begun. The patrolhelirevision_2 branch is already in the works: new routes, improved models and, probably, smarter AI. Perhaps now it will not circle above you forever, but will still do the job according to the instructions ?

? Marine update is coming

The waters of Rust are getting more content-rich, with work continuing on floating cities and a boat building station. It looks like we'll soon have a full-fledged "Hell on Water"!

? Important bugfix: the rate of fire is now stable

Fixed a bug due to which the rate of fire depended on FPS . Now even on weak hardware your shots sound as they should. Without lags - literally!

Stay tuned for Rust updates — there's still a lot of interesting stuff ahead. In the meantime, reload your ammo, repair your armor, and don't forget to complete the quest before respawning ?
