Rust Game Update Announced on Steam

Update Announcement

In this announcement, we'll be covering a few key changes coming in the next update to Rust on Steam.

• Pets: Work is currently underway to add pets to the game. One of the models the developers are working on is the "GSD" model, presumably a German Shepherd.


• Crosshair Fix: Fixed an issue where the crosshair would not appear when viewing the game in first person.


• Admin Panel: The current version of the game adds an admin panel that will allow you to view content created by players on the server.


• Modular Cars: Admins will be able to create prefabricated modular cars with a preset setup for 2, 3, and 4 mods. Each car will spawn with full health.


• Vehicle Improvements: In the next update, Kayaks will face away from the player by default, and the Mailbox, BBQ, Medium Battery, and Windmill will face towards the player by default.


• New inventory animations: We are currently testing new animations in the game's inventory.


• Streamer Mode: The ability to disable map visibility in streamer mode will be added.
