First, inspect the dock via CCTV. Remember your boat and leave fuel as a distraction. The underwater entrance leads to the third level and allows other players to bypass the dock.

- Clear floor by floor
After each ladder, check the nearest passages, restore health, and only then move up. The large tower has more levels and attack directions.
- Check access to the red room
Take the blue and red cards; for additional rooms in the large tower - the green one. At the beginning of the wipe, check if the path is not blocked by a new destructible barrier. The map itself does not remove such a barrier.
- Get ready for some heavy scientist action.
Before starting the raid, heal up and choose a shelter with cover. Expect the heavy scientists to land on the top platform; keep an eye on the stairs where players will come from.
- Grab the loot and return to the transport.
Refer to the timer on the crate itself. After looting, check the ladders and docks again: another player could have taken the opposite path.
Small or large oil rig
The Small one is more compact and convenient for initial exploration, but narrow passages make it harder to navigate. The Large one requires more time and ammunition. Both are located in the ocean; the presence of loot and activity of other players should be checked on your server.
Route of approach and clearance
- Check the cameras at the dock, helipad, and upper floors. Check the map and the possibility of other boats approaching.
- Come to the water, leave the transport with fuel and remember the landing spot.
- Clear the pier and go up the stairs one by one. Do not move to the next floor until you have restored your health.
- Check the rooms with maps. To access the box, orient yourself to the red room and the puzzle's state.
- Before raiding, choose a shelter from the heavy scientist landings and a place where you won't get caught between NPCs and players.
- After the fight, wait for the timer on the box to finish, collect the loot, and leave using a prepared route.
Underwater entrance
Both radtowns have an underwater route leading to the third level. This is an alternative approach that opponents also use. Before diving, prepare your gear and air supply; do not consider this entrance safe by default.
Common Mistakes
- After the September 2026 update, the path to the rooms with the red card may be blocked by destructible barriers. Check them before entering; the card does not remove the barrier.
- Starting the raid before healing and assigning positions.
- Engaging NPCs without monitoring the dock and ladders.
- All fuel or healing supplies have been used up before the return journey.
- Waiting for a strictly fixed respawn time: it depends on the rules, monument status, and server.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need a red card?
To access the red room with the hackable crate, take the red card. Additional rooms require corresponding cards. On a modded server, check its rules.
Can you complete the Oil Rig solo?
You can, but for the first run, it's better to practice shooting at NPCs, prepare supplies, and not trigger the event with insufficient healing items.
