Big review of the Rust Built Different update from June 4, 2026: new player model, revamped animations, M16A2, Ballistic Armour, BDU, Industrial Decor Pack, Unity 6, new navmesh, optimization, bug fixes, and important changes for servers.
Rust has seen a ton of changes this year, including the addition of CCTV cameras, a farming overhaul, the introduction of night vision, the release of an official Android companion app, modular vehicles, musical instrument DLC, and a summer expansion. The team also made balance changes and gave players the ability to buy limited skins directly.
The new Rust update brings fixes and improvements aimed at improving the gaming experience. The "listvendingmachines" command was added for admins, the jackhammer was improved, and an item drop bug in Softcore mode was fixed. The next major update is expected on July 7th.
