Rust Game on Steam: House Skins Update and New Objects in the Game
Hello everyone! There will be interesting news today✌
For the most delicious part - skins for houses.
The "buildingskins3" branch has been merged into the regular staging branch. At this point, you can enable building skins with your hammer and select the first Adobe skin.
Based on the commits, it looks like there are a few more building skins on the way, including brick, stone blocks, and "Tent Buildings" variants. Apparently, these will be skins, which means the main strength characteristics of the building for a specific material (mvk, metal, wood, branches), but there are rumors that the developers will implement another intermediate material to the ones we are used to, which currently exist in the game. Time will tell.
There are also rumors that this update will soon be part of a new DLC. Nothing is confirmed yet. We will keep you updated when more is known. But as they say, money has no smell, so don't be surprised if it is a DLC and costs the same as the game!
☢More work on the nuclear missile silo
The developers are hard at work on the newest future RT - Nuclear Missile Silo. A number of changes have been made to Aux2, including reworking the above-ground buildings, changing the blue exit map puzzle, adjusting the lighting, and more.
Interestingly, there's a new sub-branch called "Big Bang." This, coupled with a couple of teasers posted on Twitter, makes it seem like this RT will be more than just a place to loot and shoot NPCs. Will this be part of the wipe event in some way?
Many assume that this mine will launch a rocket before the server wipe and blow everything to hell) And then the server will shut down for an update. What do you think?
Perhaps this RT will be released in the May update!
More models of the world of ammunition
Work is underway on some new ammo models. Soon, instead of small bags, when you throw away ammo, you will get ammo boxes, not primitive bags!
Twitch Drops Schedule for May
The Facepunch Twitch page has been updated and the next round of Twitch Drops is scheduled for May 16-20. Make sure all your accounts are linked to Twitch!

Fixed missing markers on the team leader map after death.
Add a replicated variable "serverallowsteamnicknames" to allow modded servers to disable nicknames on Steam.
Looks like a new recycler animation is coming soon.
Initial addition of improvised weapon rack (still in separate thread).
First experiments with displaying a list of current map markers on the left side of the map screen.
Working on blinding AI with flashbang grenades.
Some loot settings near and on power lines.
