Rust is not downloading the map or stuck on loading.

The first login to a new map takes longer. If an error message appears, save it and try logging in again after checking for updates and ensuring there is enough free space on the disk.

Map loading check

  1. Distinguish long loading from an error: check if the stages Downloading World, Loading World, and Spawning World are changing.
  2. Make sure there is enough free space on your Steam disk and that Rust is up to date.
  3. Restart the game and try connecting again using the current address.
  4. Check the integrity of Rust files through Steam.
  5. If the error occurs only on one map, please provide its full text to support: the issue may be related to the map file's availability or server settings.

World File Mismatch or World File Outdated

The client and server have received different versions of the map. Do not delete the entire game folder. First, report the server name and error to the administration: they will check the map URL and version compatibility; if necessary, they will provide the exact name of the outdated file to be removed.
