What's coming to Rust on February 5, 2026 — Naval Update, DLC Artist Pack, and changes

The Naval Update is one of the most anticipated in recent memory. It has already been delayed twice , and its release is now officially scheduled for February 5th .

The main goal of the update is not just to add content, but to bring naval mechanics to a stable and high-quality state.

What's included in the Marine Update?

In a January report, the team confirmed that the development focus had shifted to fixing the accumulated issues.

Major Fleet Improvements

The Artist Pack DLC is being actively developed in the test branch. It focuses on creativity, base design, and social activities.

What's included in the Artist Pack?

Work is underway on the 9mm UZI. It's not yet known whether this will be a new weapon or part of future DLC. The project is in its early stages.

  • The traveling merchant does not appear on small maps.
